Job summary

PNC is seeking a Quality Engineer Principal to lead design and implementation of enterprise‑level quality practices for Big Data, Hadoop, and Data Warehouse platforms. Based in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH, you will drive test strategy, automation architecture, and governance in an onsite-offshore delivery model.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, Test Architecture, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong SDLC/STLC knowledge across enterprise apps.
• Proven leadership of 3–5 onsite/offshore team members.
• Hands-on Python development and test automation.
• Experience with Big Data/Hadoop testing, Data Warehouse and ETL testing.
• Spark/PySpark, SQL and data validation expertise.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms; CI/CD familiarity.
• Analytical, problem-solving and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define QA architecture, test strategies, and quality frameworks for Big Data/Hadoop/Data Warehouse apps.
• Lead a 3–5 QA engineer team, providing guidance and performance oversight.
• Coordinate onsite/offshore delivery, ensuring planning and execution.
• Design scalable test automation for data ingestion, transformation, processing, and reporting.
• Develop automated validation frameworks with Python and related tech.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, Developers, Data Engineers, and stakeholders for high-quality releases.
• Create test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, performance, ETL, data validation, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate data pipelines across Hadoop, Spark, Data Warehouse, and Cloud platforms.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous quality improvements.
