Job summary

Mindera is seeking a Principal Python Engineer to join an agile, collaborative team where your voice matters as much as your code. You’ll build software services and APIs using Python (FastAPI) to deliver reliable data processing and deployment experiences.

You’ll design secure cloud infrastructure and manage deployments with Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker. Collaboration with leadership and clients is key, with opportunities to mentor and guide teams while promoting best practices in

How You’ll Contribute

• Build Software & APIs: Build software services and APIs using Python frameworks (ideally FastAPI) to create smooth, reliable data processing and deployment experiences.
• Cloud Infrastructure Engineering: Design and maintain secure cloud infrastructure from a software engineering perspective, handling core networking components like WAF and CDN.
• Deploy & Orchestrate: Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code and deploy scalable services using Kubernetes (specifically AKS) and Docker.
• Build & Maintain Pipelines: Implement end-to-end data solutions , ensuring data flows correctly across real-time (Kafka/Kinesis) and batch architectures

• Bridges Data and Software Engineering (Technical Design): Has deep expertise in software design and architectural principles, applying a software engineer’s mindset to solve complex infrastructure and data modeling challenges. Sets the technical direction for the organization, aligning core system designs with strategic goals while effectively communicating complex architectures to diverse stakeholders.
• Drives Python Excellence & Core Engineering Practices (Software Development): Brings mastery in Python and related ecosystem frameworks to lead language and technology adoption across multiple teams. Acts as an expert in identifying and promoting industry best practices, code versioning, advanced debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting high-throughput Python applications.
• Elevates Quality & Testing Standards (Testing & Quality Assurance): Serves as an expert in modern testing methodologies, automated test frameworks, and quality assurance strategies, actively defining and driving best practices across multiple engineering and data teams.
• Integrates Security, Observability & Performance (Security, Performance, Observability): Guides teams on embedding security into the software development lifecycle. Optimizes complex Python applications and data pipelines for maximum performance, resource efficiency, and deep operational observability.
• Values Collaboration & CI/CD Excellence (Build & Deployment): Collaborates on robust CI/CD workflows, DevOps capabilities, and automated deployment pipelines across the organization. Drives operational best practices and continuous infrastructure improvements across multiple teams.
• Ensures Operational Resilience (Support & Operations): Holds deep expertise in supporting, monitoring, and operating critical production software systems, leading the resolution and post-mortem analysis of complex technical issues.
• Fosters Agile Execution & Clear Technical Communication (Agile Delivery & Leadership): Demonstrates expert-level execution within Agile frameworks, driving continuous process improvement across teams. Serves as an exceptional communicator capable of translating intricate technical concepts into actionable insight for executive leadership and key partners in English.

Your Technical Toolkit:

• Cloud & Networking: Deep experience (at least 7 years) with Azure and cloud infrastructure (Networking, WAF, CDN).

• IaC & Containers: Proficient with (at least 7 years) in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform , with hands-on experience in AKS / Kubernetes and Docker.

• Programming & APIs: (at least 10 years of experience) Strong Python development skills, with deep expertise in organizing projects and building web services using FastAPI.

• AI knowldge: Experience building AI-enabled applications, particularly in recommendation or conversational systems and evaluation frameworks for LLM or AI systems. Clear understanding of how AI systems differ from traditional deterministic systems.
