Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, through WECTEC Staffing Services, is seeking a remote contract Principal Project Scheduler. You will report to the Manager of Project Controls and contribute to the scheduling of complex, multinational projects.

This position requires 10+ years in scheduling, a technical bachelor’s degree, and Primavera scheduling experience. You will coordinate tasks, apply schedule/cost/risk analytics, and lead change control to keep baselines intact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project scheduling or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, accounting, construction management or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks, deadlines and escalate issues to management.
• Plan controls aspects of projects and optimize schedules.
• Apply schedule, cost and risk analytics and communicate project requirements.
• Lead schedule, cost, and risk activities and maintain baselines and change control.

About the role:

Remote opportunity as a contract Principal Project Scheduler.

You will report to the Manager of Project Controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate tasks/deadlines and **escalate** issues to management

Plan controls aspects of projects

Consider inefficiencies for project optimization

Apply schedule, cost and risk analytics

Lead schedule, cost, and risk activities and communicate project requirements

Process changes following an integrated change control process

Review expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope

Maintain project metrics to ensure team, customer, and partners are informed of project status

Develop systems, databases and procedures to ensure project understanding

Communicate opportunities for improvement

Be the project controls subject matter expert for internal customer's support

Integrate goals and actions participating in matters of common concern w/ other teams

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, accounting, construction Management or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

6 or more years of experience in the position functional/technical area

Primavera scheduling experience
