Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead day-to-day coordination for the AP1000 reactors project in Poland, overseeing schedule and budget while coordinating with Functional Area Leads and engineering leadership.

This role reports to the Senior Project Engineering Manager Poland Engineering and offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site collaboration at a US engineering location; travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project.
• Experience with AP1000, AP300, or eVinci is a plus.

About The Role

As a Principal Project Engineer you will lead day‑to‑day project coordination for the first AP1000 reactors in Poland, overseeing schedule and budget performance, facilitating communication with Functional Area Leads, and supporting engineering leadership to ensure project objectives are achieved

You will report to the Senior Project Engineering Manager Poland Engineering and be located at one of our US Engineering locations. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on‑site collaboration at our office

Key Responsibilities

• Work with support of Functional Area Lead(s) to ensure progress and scope execution
• Responsible for the managing the schedule and budgeting
• Lead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinator
• Supports the Project Engineering Manager and Design Technical Lead as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience,
• Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project
• Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas:
  • Nuclear systems design
  • Turbine Island/Balance of Plant systems or structural design
  • NSSS components design and analyses
  • Piping layout and/or analysis
  • Plant layout integration
  • Civil, Structural and Architectural engineering
  • Electrical design
  • Establish networks across multiple teams

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
