Principal Program Manager, Auto & Industrial

Lexington, KY

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry’s digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.

The Principal Program Manager owns a portfolio of Xometry's most complex and highest-value production programs, often several concurrent programs of $5M or more each, from award through launch and into steady-state supply. This person is the primary point of contact for the customer, leads the cross-functional and partner teams that deliver the program, and is accountable for quality, delivery, and financial results.

Alongside individual programs, this role improves how Xometry runs programs overall. The Principal Program Manager sets the standard for program management practice, drives operational improvements that let the program portfolio scale, and mentors other program managers on the team.

This role reports to the Director, Strategic Program Operations.

  • Run programs using the Xometry Product Development Process, aligned with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Manage program budgets and financials, including tooling, capital, and margin, and drive actions to meet financial objectives
  • Track launch and production metrics, including timeline adherence, on-time delivery, quality, customer experience, and program financial results
Lead Customers, Partners, and Cross-Functional Teams
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer program, engineering, quality, and procurement teams
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Field Deployed Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Planning, and the Partner Network to deliver each program
  • Hold manufacturing partners accountable to program commitments, and work with them on capacity, schedule, and quality issues
  • Coordinate resources, partner capacity, and dependencies across concurrent programs, identify risks early, elevate when needed, and lead mitigation and recovery across customer, partner, and internal teams
  • Communicate program status through regular reviews with customers and internal leadership
  • Find opportunities to expand programs within existing accounts and bring them to Sales and Account Management
Improve How Xometry Runs Programs
  • Lead cross-functional operational initiatives that improve program efficiency, scalability, and repeatability
  • Define and monitor program KPIs, and use data to find and drive improvements
  • Apply Lean principles and operational best practices to program workflows, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
  • Develop and maintain program management standards, templates, and playbooks for the team
  • Work with Product and Engineering to improve the tools and systems that support program execution
Develop the Program Management Team
