Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Production Operations professional in Baltimore, MD. You will manage day‑to‑day interfaces across PMO, Manufacturing and Engineering, drive cost and schedule targets, and lead product teams from design through manufacturing, ensuring program visibility and risk management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years’ PM/Manufacturing experience (Master’s with 3+ years also acceptable) and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Master’s degree with 3+ years in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
  • Ability to liaise across multiple disciplines to solve complex problems with limited resources.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and SAP.

You have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written; strong interpersonal skills; a good problem-solving mindset; and the ability to present program visibility at internal/external meetings to include all levels of management including executive level.What You’ll Get to Do:Managing and maintaining the day-to-day interfaces and communications between the assigned Program Management Office (PMO), Manufacturing, Test, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Mission Assurance (MA), Supply Chain (SCM), Engineering, and ShippingAchieving targeted cost and schedule requirementsFacilitating internal meetings in a way to support design, production, and problem resolutionsReporting Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and serving as the Cost Account Management (CAM) for manufacturing projectsLeading or participating on a product team, responsible for product-level requirements analysis, engineering and manufacturing of the products assigned, product tracking, and product visibilityRepresenting manufacturing at the program Risk Review Board (RRB) meetings and creating / managing any applicable manufacturing risks and/or opportunities from the program risk registerSupporting and generating proposal documentation as needed to foster new workBasic Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related disciplineExperience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvementExperience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems with limited resources in a timely mannerAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and SAP (Special Access Programs)U.S. citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and/or a Project Management fieldExperience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Basis of Estimate preparation, and/or Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) developmentProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationManufacturing experience of defense related electronicsTechnical project management through different parts of the program/project life cycleExperience working diverse contract types (CPFF.
