Job description

At Medtronic, you can start a lifelong career of exploration and innovation while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.

A Day in the Life

Our mission at Medtronic is to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.

We are hiring a Principal Product Specialist to lead the regional execution and support of our Interventional Pain Therapies portfolio—including radiofrequency ablation and vertebral augmentation technologies across key international (OUS) markets.

This therapy-focused role will be instrumental in accelerating clinical adoption and driving therapy confidence through close collaboration with global teams, physician stakeholders, and regional customer marketing partners. You will serve as the go-to expert for therapy strategy development, implementation, and procedural education, playing a critical role in expanding access to minimally invasive pain management solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Act as the primary technical advisor, demonstrate products/services, support T&E, in-service, or tradeshow support, troubleshoot product issues, and partner with upstream marketing, clinical, regulatory, and operations teams to align regional execution with global portfolio goals. Participate in product launch planning, including market access strategy.
  • Develop unit (product/service) forecasts in collaboration with all geographies, provide inputs to finance for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), support inventory management, and identify training needs and continuous improvement opportunities for the field team.
  • Incorporate market insights, including intelligence and competitive analysis, to inform demand forecasts for global and regional reviews. Develop regional pricing strategies in collaboration with the pricing team, setting list, target, and floor prices.
  • Support quality tasks such as complaint management, recall support, and develop robust phase-in/phase-out plans to ensure product continuity, manage demand, and inform inventory planning.
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral to support marketing programs.
  • Assist in determining acceptable pricing and discounting strategies, support pricing governance, and provide product or informational overviews to customers for contracts or tenders.

Required knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, life sciences, marketing, or healthcare-related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, preferably in product management, marketing, or commercial operations.
  • Experience managing product lifecycle activities, forecasting, inventory planning, and field readiness, with expertise in interventional therapies or image-guided procedures considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for complex stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
  • Fluent in English; fluency in other European languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
