We're seeking a strategic product marketer with exceptional inbound marketing expertise to shape our product strategy and GTM of our comprehensive retail media portfolio.

In this role, you will be the critical link between market needs and product development, leading the strategic direction for our retail media solutions including RAS, Amazon Business, and future innovations. Your deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape will directly influence product strategy and roadmap decisions. The role requires conducting comprehensive market research, customer interviews, and translating insights into product requirements and positioning that resonates with both traditional retailers and digital-native brands. This position involves close collaboration with Product Managers and Sales to ensure that products meet customer needs and achieve strong product-market fit.

The ideal candidate brings 9+ years of product marketing/product management experience with a strong inbound marketing focus. You should have a proven track record of influencing product strategy through market insights, deep understanding of adtech and retail media networks, and experience with both B2B and B2C advertising platforms. You must excel at executive communications, demonstrating the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear value propositions that resonate with senior stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Driving product strategy through customer and market insights
  • Developing product requirements, naming, and positioning
  • Conducting comprehensive market research and analysis
  • Partnering with product, engineering, and sales teams
  • Shaping the narrative around retail media innovation
  • Creating GTM strategies (including launch moments and narrative)

A day in the life

The product marketing team works on creating compelling positioning and marketing content to support product launches and campaigns that will help customers be more productive building on the cloud with tools and services. We all have a bias for action for developing awesome marketing assets (e.g., website, videos, success stories, blogs, presentations, print collateral, sales enablement tools, etc.). We look for ways to measure the impact of our work on service adoptions. We transition from working on strategic plans or creative ideation to detailed execution, multiple times per day. We all work together and pick each other up when workloads shift. This helps us manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables. We enjoy supporting a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with creating GTM initiatives at scale
  • Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, product management, analytics, UX, and research

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
