Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Principal Product Manager to shape multi-year strategy for cloud APIs, developer tooling, and infrastructure integrations.

You will lead vision and execution for developer interactions with Akamai Cloud, modernizing API paths and driving AI-first workflows. You will collaborate on API design guidelines, OpenAPI standards, and governance, while guiding CLI, SDKs, and Terraform provider initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years of experience designing APIs and developer tooling.
• Experience with REST, gRPC or GraphQL APIs and delivering developer tools.

Responsibilities

• Crafting and driving the multi-year vision, product strategy, and execution roadmap for Akamai Cloud developer tooling.
• Modernizing brownfield enterprise API paths while elevating API quality, consistency, and platform performance.
• Pioneering next-generation developer interfaces for AI agents and LLM-driven workflows using Model Context Protocol endpoints.
• Collaborating with engineering on API design guidelines, OpenAPI standards, schema governance, and API Gateway capabilities.
• Overseeing product development for official developer tools including CLI, SDKs, and Infrastructure as Code providers.
• Influencing strategy of streamlining and unifying the Developer Experience across multiple platforms to ensure consistency and efficiency.
