Qualifications

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager – AI Platform to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of an agentic AI platform powering multiple AI-driven products.

This is a highly strategic, hands-on role for a technical product leader with deep experience in AI/ML platforms, LLM technologies, and building products from 0-to-1. You'll work closely with engineering leadership to shape platform direction, simplify and scale existing capabilities, and determine what to build, consolidate, or retire.

The ideal candidate has experience owning complex, multi-component platforms, working across multiple product teams, and delivering scalable AI solutions in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own AI platform strategy: Partner closely with the CTO and engineering leadership to define platform priorities, drive technical product decisions, and provide strategic direction to 3–4 Product Managers.
• Lead cross-product platform development: Manage competing priorities across Voice, Chat, Contact Center, Collections, and Fraud product lines, ensuring platform capabilities support multiple teams and business needs.
• Build and scale AI infrastructure: Evaluate existing platform components, identify opportunities to consolidate capabilities, reduce duplication, and develop scalable solutions.
• Drive AI/ML platform innovation: Work on advanced AI capabilities, including LLM orchestration, model evaluations, fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI frameworks.
• Own platform APIs and integrations: Lead API strategy, versioning, deprecation, backward compatibility, and migration planning across multiple product teams.
• Build from 0-to-1: Take ownership of new platform capabilities from concept through development, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Stay hands-on with AI: Work directly with engineers and actively use AI development tools, build agents, scripts, and automated workflows to improve product development and execution.

What We're Looking For

• 8–15 years of Product Management experience, including at least 3 recent years at the Staff or Principal Product Manager level.
• Proven experience owning a complex, multi-component platform serving multiple product teams, ideally in AI/ML, infrastructure, or enterprise technology.
• Strong 0-to-1 product development experience, either at a startup or as the first Product Manager launching a new product within a larger technology company.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML platforms and modern LLM technologies, including orchestration, evaluations, fine-tuning, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
• Experience managing platform contracts, APIs, versioning, deprecation, and migration strategies across multiple engineering and product teams.
• Hands‑on experience building AI agents, scripts, prototypes, or automated workflows, going beyond basic AI prompting.
• Strong technical background, ideally with previous experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to work closely with senior engineering leaders, make complex technical trade-offs, and influence product direction across teams.
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in San Francisco's Financial District.
