Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive product strategy and roadmaps for AEC-focused software solutions. The role partners with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executives to bring new capabilities to market and to translate customer needs into actionable product directions.

You will engage directly with customers, industry leaders, and partners to identify opportunities, evaluate trends, and inform prioritization.

Qualifications

Our engineering software client is seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive product strategy, roadmap development, and market adoption for solutions supporting the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. This highly visible leadership role will partner with internal stakeholders, customers, and engineering teams to identify market opportunities, define product direction, and deliver innovative solutions that help infrastructure organizations improve project delivery and digital outcomes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy and roadmap initiatives aligned to customer and business priorities.
• Partner with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executive stakeholders to bring new capabilities to market.
• Engage directly with customers, industry leaders, and strategic partners to gather feedback and identify emerging opportunities.
• Serve as the voice of the customer by translating market needs into product requirements and investment priorities.
• Evaluate competitive trends, customer adoption metrics, and industry developments to inform roadmap decisions.
• Lead cross-functional discussions regarding feature prioritization, business value, and go-to-market planning.
• Present product strategy, vision, and roadmap updates to executive stakeholders and customers.
• Support product launches and adoption initiatives through collaboration with go-to-market teams.
• Advocate for innovation across infrastructure, engineering, and digital delivery workflows.

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of Product Management experience leading complex software or technology products.
• Proven experience owning product strategy, roadmap development, and execution.
• Strong background working directly with customers and business stakeholders to define product direction.
• Deep understanding of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, infrastructure markets, or related domains.
• Experience translating customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives into successful product initiatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with experience leveraging customer insights and business metrics to drive decisions.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market organizations.
• Experience within AEC, infrastructure engineering, construction technology, BIM, digital twins, asset lifecycle management, or related industries.
• Experience bringing enterprise software products to market.
• Understanding of cloud-based software platforms and data-driven product strategies.
• Experience working with strategic customers and industry partners to influence product direction.
