Position Overview

The Principal Product Manager, Downstream Marketing, is a senior global product marketing leader responsible for driving launch excellence, commercialization strategy, and sustained portfolio growth for Argon’s vascular therapies portfolio, with primary responsibility for Cleaner VAC and related thrombectomy, venous intervention, and vascular disease management solutions.

This role is designed for an accomplished medical device product marketer with demonstrated success leading global or multi-regional product launches, building go-to-market plans, enabling sales execution, translating customer and clinical insights into compelling commercial strategies, and managing post-launch performance to accelerate adoption, revenue growth, market share, and portfolio profitability.

What you will do
Launch Excellence and Global Commercialization
  • Lead global and multi-regional launch planning and execution for new products, product enhancements, line extensions, and key commercial initiatives.
  • Build launch plans that define segmentation, targeting, positioning, adoption strategy, launch milestones, training needs, commercial deliverables, demand readiness, inventory considerations, communications, and success metrics.
  • Drive launch readiness across Marketing, Sales, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D to ensure coordinated commercial execution.
  • Translate launch strategy into practical field execution, including sales tools, training programs, customer discussion guides, objection handling, competitive positioning, and value-based selling resources.
  • Track post-launch performance against revenue, adoption, utilization, share, margin, and field-execution metrics; identify barriers, recommend corrective actions, and communicate progress to Commercial and Executive Leadership.
Portfolio Strategy and Market Development
  • Own global downstream marketing strategy, annual growth priorities, and commercial execution plans for Cleaner VAC and the broader vascular intervention portfolio.
  • Identify and activate growth opportunities across vascular surgery, interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, thrombectomy, venous intervention, and related vascular disease markets.
  • Use market trends, customer insights, competitive intelligence, clinical developments, sales performance, and portfolio profitability to guide strategic decisions and business recommendations.
  • Support forecasting, revenue planning, pricing strategy, demand planning, and market-access considerations in partnership with regional commercial and functional leaders.
Positioning, Messaging, and Sales Enablement
  • Develop clear product positioning, value propositions, messaging frameworks, competitive differentiation, and clinical/economic value stories for priority customer segments.
  • Create and maintain customer-facing marketing materials, product presentations, sales tools, digital content, physician education resources, and competitive resources that support adoption and growth.
  • Serve as a product and commercial subject matter expert for global sales teams, providing training, launch support, customer engagement guidance, and field-ready selling resources.
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns and activation plans that increase awareness, adoption, utilization, and customer engagement across priority regions and channels.
Customer Insights, KOL Engagement, and Evidence Translation
  • Gather voice-of-customer, field, market, competitive, and clinical insights to understand physician needs, procedural workflows, adoption barriers, and market opportunities.
  • Partner with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, and key opinion leaders to translate evidence, procedural experience, and customer feedback into education, messaging, sales training, and portfolio recommendations.
  • Support physician education, advisory programs, workshops, conferences, field visits, product demonstrations, and strategic account engagement to accelerate market development and adoption.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Business Performance
  • Lead high-impact commercialization initiatives across Marketing, Sales, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and regional commercial teams.
  • Influence stakeholders without direct authority by setting clear objectives, roles, timelines, deliverables, decision points, and measures of success.
  • Communicate launch progress, business risks, performance opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior leaders while mentoring marketing team members and supporting a culture of execution excellence.
Skills for Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Engineering, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in medical device product management, downstream marketing, sales, clinical support, or a related commercial leadership function.
  • Demonstrated success leading global or multi-regional medical device product launches from commercial strategy and launch planning through field execution and post-launch performance management.
  • Strong experience building go-to-market plans, segmentation and targeting strategies, positioning, messaging, launch readiness plans, sales-enablement resources, and customer-facing marketing materials.
  • Experience managing commercial performance using revenue, adoption, utilization, market share, margin, customer feedback, and field-execution metrics.
  • Experience working directly with physicians, healthcare professionals, sales organizations, regional commercial teams, and healthcare customers to drive adoption and market development.
  • Ability to translate clinical, technical, customer, and competitive information into clear commercial strategies, messaging, training, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority in a regulated medical device environment.
