Job summary

MaintainX is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own LLMX, the internal AI platform that underpins all AI features across product teams. This high-leverage role demands deep AI systems expertise combined with commercial instinct to drive platform investment and enterprise differentiation.

You’ll define platform primitives, own evaluation infrastructure, and shape strategic make-vs-buy decisions while coordinating with multiple product teams and enterprise buyers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management, with meaningful experience in AI platform, ML infrastructure, or developer platform roles.
• Strong commercial instinct and ability to connect platform investments to enterprise differentiation.
• Proven track record shipping production AI services used by other teams.
• Deep knowledge of model selection, RAG vs fine-tuning trade-offs, and latency/cost optimization.
• Ability to serve internal teams and enterprise buyers simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own the LLMX roadmap end to end and drive adoption and quality against metrics like time-to-first-integration, eval coverage, latency, and cost.
• Define platform primitives enabling agentic features such as routing, memory, orchestration, and conversation interface.
• Own evaluation infrastructure with online eval monitoring, dataset promotion, and agent gating.
• Shape build-vs-buy decisions for models, providers, and infrastructure, staying ahead of the state of the art in LLMs and agentic AI.
• Collaborate across MaintainX’s product organization to anticipate needs before blockers and identify nascent demand.

• We’re hiring a Principal Product Manager to own LLMX, MaintainX’s internal AI Platform: the runtime, orchestration, evaluation, and observability layer that every product team builds their AI features on
• This is one of the highest-leverage seats in the company. Every agent, every AI-powered workflow, and every intelligent capability we ship depends on decisions you make
• We’re looking for a rare combination of genuine technical depth in AI systems mixed with a commercial instinct anchored in curiosity
• Own the LLMX roadmap end to end, and drive adoption and quality against metrics like time-to-first-integration, eval coverage, latency, and cost
• Define the platform primitives, including routing agents, skill orchestration, human-in-the-loop workflows, agent memory, conversation compaction, and the app-wide conversational interface, that make MaintainX’s next generation of agentic features possible
• Own the platform’s evaluation infrastructure, including online eval monitoring, dataset promotion, and agent gating, so quality scales as the number of production agents grows
• Work proactively across MaintainX’s entire product organization to identify what upcoming agentic features will need, before those needs become blockers, including demand that’s still nascent
• Shape build vs. buy vs. integrate decisions for models, providers, and infrastructure, staying ahead of the state of the art in LLMs and agentic AI
