Zscaler is seeking a Principal Product Manager for the Logging and Analytics Platform. This hybrid role (3 days a week) can be based in Santa Clara or Bellevue, reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management.

You will own and scale the massive big data logging infrastructure powering Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange, handling 800B daily transactions and empowering AgenticOps and advanced security workflows.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of product management and related experience in cloud security; proven track record launching security products.
• Deep technical understanding of petabyte-scale logging, telemetry, and distributed architectures.
• Experience designing scalable logging, ingestion, streaming, and processing systems.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols (proxies, firewalls, TLS, PKI, HTTP/S).
• Familiarity with cloud-native services at hyperscalers or major SaaS providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadmap for logging platform, reliability, and customer-facing logging capabilities.
• Own log streaming products across cloud-to-cloud, on-prem, and major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Partner with legal, CISO, and compliance to navigate global privacy regulations.
• Enable SOCs and field teams to operationalize Zscaler logs.
• Collaborate across platform lines to align logging requirements and initiatives.
• Drive next-gen initiatives, including AgenticOps integration and monetization models.

Role

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager – Zscaler Logging and Analytics Platform to join our team.

This is a Hybrid (3 days a week, Santa Clara or Bellevue office) role, reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, Platform Infrastructure in the Product Management department. This is an opportunity to own and scale the massive big data logging infrastructure powering the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (including ZIA and ZPA) alongside 1st and 3rd-party integrations. This person will drive extreme scale processing over 800B transactions daily, cutting-edge cloud architecture, supporting the world’s largest security cloud, and next-gen AI-driven security operations (AgenticOps).

What You'll Do (Role Expectations)

• Scale Big Data Infrastructure: Lead and execute the roadmap for our platform, reliability and scalability, and customer-facing logging capabilities, supporting capacity and next-gen hardware planning
• Drive Log Streaming & Ecosystem Integrations: Own log streaming products across form factors (cloud-to-cloud, on-prem, AWS/Azure/GCP) and top-tier SIEM integrations
• Champion Data Privacy & Compliance: Partner with legal, CISO, compliance, and engineering to navigate complex global privacy regulations and standards
• Enable Customers & Field Teams: Shape best practices for logging pipeline deployment and empower Security Operations Centers (SOCs) to operationalize Zscaler logs effectively
• Unify Cross-Product Strategies: Collaborate closely across Zscaler platform product lines to define, track, and align logging requirements and lead common platform initiatives
• Spearhead Next-Gen Initiatives: Drive high-visibility initiatives, including integrating logging into Zscaler's native agentic experience (AgenticOps) and innovative monetization models

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
• 12+ years of product management and similar role experience with a proven track record of defining, launching, and scaling successful security products for cloud environments
• Deep technical understanding of designing and scaling petabyte-scale, high-throughput logging and telemetry platforms, including reliable ingestion, streaming, batch processing, and distributed architectures
• Deep technical expertise in network security and protocols including proxies, firewalls, TLS, PKI, and HTTP/S
• Deep technical familiarity with network security paradigms, SIEM integrations, and rigorous data governance standards
• Proven experience with cloud-native services at hyper-scalers or major SaaS providers

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Proven ability to leverage AI technologies and workflows to drive measurable operational efficiency
• Prior sysadmin or DevOps background in hyperscalers, setting up lab/demo environments, and creating technical collateral
• Experience managing business cases, pricing strategies, and complex customer negotiations involving SaaS metrics, SLAs, and enterprise contracts
• Cross-functional leadership ability to lead without authority and align teams across Engineering, Cloud Ops, Sales, and Support

Base Pay Range

$196,000-$245,000 USD

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
