Job summary

Zscaler seeks a hands-on Principal Technical Marketing Engineer to drive enablement for our Zero Trust Branch and Zscaler Digital Experience. This remote role reports to the Director of Product Management and serves as a bridge between field teams and core engineering.

You will own technical POVs, design and maintain lab topologies, author deployment runbooks and architectural references, and deliver field enablement sessions and webinars. We value ownership, collaboration, and a growth mindset.

Qualifications

Role

We are seeking a hands-on, self-starting Principal Technical Marketing Engineer with deep networking and monitoring expertise to drive technical enablement, customer validation, and field readiness for our next-generation Zero Trust Branch and Zscaler Digital Experience solutions. In this remote role, you will report to the Director of Product Management within the Zscaler Digital Experience department, serving as a critical bridge between our field teams and core engineering. Your mission is to accelerate adoption, reduce sales friction, and standardize post-sales time-to-value through hands-on technical validation and world-class enablement collateral.

What You'll Do

• Own hands-on technical POVs, architectural demos, and pilot evaluations for enterprise prospects and customers to validate capabilities and accelerate deal closure
• Design, deploy, and maintain resilient physical and virtual networking lab topologies
• Serve as the primary technical troubleshooting bridge and escalation path between field teams and core engineering
• Author production-ready technical collateral, including step-by-step deployment runbooks, reference architectures, and competitive test plans
• Deliver high-impact field enablement sessions, hands-on training workshops, and webinars for SEs, professional services, and partner architects

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
• Proven track record of leading hands-on customer Proof of Value (POV) pilots and executive architectural evaluations
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in technical marketing, product management, or solutions architecture
• Deep proficiency in building and maintaining multi-vendor physical and virtual network lab topologies
• Advanced packet analysis and troubleshooting expertise using Wireshark, tcpdump, and traffic generation tools to diagnose routing anomalies, latency/jitter, MTU issues, and NAT/firewall traversal

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Hands-on experience with cloud network frameworks, such as AWS Transit Gateways/VPCs, GCP Cloud Routers, or Azure Virtual WAN, to connect distributed branches to cloud environments
• Prior experience with network observability and monitoring solutions

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$196,000 - $245,000 USD
