Job description

Walmart’s Supply Chain Product Team is at the heart of the company’s global logistics network, driving innovations that optimize the flow of goods from suppliers to customers.

The Flow Planning & Strategic Initiatives team focuses on developing and executing high-impact projects across warehousing, transportation, and inventory management. This team ensures Walmart’s supply chain is efficient and cost-effective.

The Principal Product Manager will lead the strategy and execution of initiatives impacting Walmart’s entire supply chain network, collaborating with operations, transportation, warehousing, and engineering teams to enhance flow efficiency.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Product Management, and is based in Bentonville, Arkansas.

What you'll do...
  • Use data, advanced analytics, and AI/ML tools to optimize supply chain flow, ensuring smooth transitions across warehouses, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Build strategies for optimizing inbound, outbound, and inventory flow, ensuring efficient product movement across the network.
  • Define and track KPIs to evaluate the success of strategic initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
  • Continuously identify new opportunities to innovate and improve Walmart’s supply chain, using emerging technologies and processes.
  • Mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
What You’ll Bring…
  • Deep understanding of Statistical Models and their applications to Improve Flow in Transportation
  • Extensive experience in designing neural network-based statistical products to drive efficiency at scale
  • Experience in designing network-level flow strategy at scale
  • Deep understanding of flow planning, TMS, WMS, and end-to-end supply chain operations
  • Expertise in using data-driven insights to guide decisions and improve processes
  • Experience leading the development of large-scale platforms focused on outbound transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations

Walmart offers competitive pay, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase plans, paid time off, and additional perks like disability insurance, company discounts, and education benefits.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $220,000, with additional compensation through bonuses and stock options.

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, plus 9 years of product management experience.
  • Option 2: 11 years of experience in product management or related area.

Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, with 8 years’ experience as a product manager, preferably working on large-scale, complex B2B/C products.
  • Supervisory experience and a background in creating accessible digital experiences, adhering to WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and inclusive design principles.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and Walmart’s standards for inclusive products.
