The Anywhere UX team is a quickly growing and evolving team positioned as a thought leader in the company. We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal UX Designer to join our team and revolutionize how people interact with real estate technology. As a Principal Designer at Anywhere Real Estate, you will lead the design of innovative software that streamlines processes for our agents and brokers. Your visionary approach and leadership will elevate the design team, creating applications that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and profitable.

Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership: Lead the development of design concepts aligned with Anywhere Real Estate's vision and market trends. Provide expert guidance on design decisions, ensuring high standards of quality and innovation. Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to foster creativity.
2. Design Excellence: Oversee multiple projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and Product Managers. Develop timelines, milestones, and deliverables collaboratively.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with partners, understand their needs, and translate them into compelling design solutions. Present proposals and updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
4. Mentorship: Mentor junior designers, guiding their professional growth. Promote continuous learning and staying updated with design trends and techniques.
5. UX Research: Collaborate with UX research teams to incorporate user insights into design decisions. Use research to validate and inform design concepts, advocating for user-centered principles.
6. Design Operations (DesignOps): Work with Program management to develop strategies that streamline workflows. Manage design tools and resources, establish metrics, and measure the impact of design initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing user experiences for web and mobile applications, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, InVision).
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Knowledge of current UX trends and emerging technologies.
• Advocacy for accessibility and inclusive design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of presenting and defending design strategies.
