The Anywhere UX team is a quickly growing and evolving team positioned as a thought leader in the company. We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal UX Designer to join our team and revolutionize how people interact with real estate technology. As a Principal Designer at Anywhere Real Estate, you will lead the design of innovative software that streamlines processes for agents and brokers. Your visionary leadership will elevate the design team, creating applications that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and profitable.

Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership: Lead development of design concepts aligned with Anywhere Real Estate's vision and market trends. Provide guidance on design decisions, ensuring quality and innovation. Facilitate brainstorming and workshops to foster creativity.
2. Design Excellence: Oversee multiple projects from inception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams. Develop timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with partners, understanding their needs and translating them into compelling design solutions. Present proposals and updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
4. Mentorship: Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and feedback. Promote continuous learning and awareness of latest design trends and techniques.
5. UX Research: Collaborate with UX research teams to incorporate user insights into design decisions. Advocate for user-centered principles, ensuring user feedback informs design.
6. Design Operations (DesignOps): Work with program management to develop strategies that streamline workflows. Manage design tools and resources, and establish KPIs to measure impact and drive improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing user experiences for web and mobile applications, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, InVision).
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Knowledge of current UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Advocacy for accessibility and inclusive design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design strategies.
