About The Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Designer to lead design for a critical 0-to-1 initiative within our Growth team. You will shape the future of HubSpot by taking ideas from concept to reality, defining user experience, and collaborating with product managers and engineers to create innovative solutions for an important customer segment.

As a Principal Designer, you will navigate ambiguity, iterate rapidly, and validate hypotheses. Your expertise in high-fidelity prototyping will be crucial for communicating concepts, testing assumptions, and ensuring a seamless user experience. We need a proactive, strategic thinker passionate about high-fidelity prototypes to visualize impacts and drive results.

What You'll Do

1. Lead design for a 0-1 initiative, from concept to launch.
2. Collaborate across teams to deliver value.
3. Create interactive prototypes using tools like Figma.
4. Conduct user research, synthesize findings, and translate insights into design decisions.
5. Define product vision and strategy in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
6. Contribute to and evolve HubSpot’s design system.
7. Mentor junior designers and foster design excellence.
8. Work effectively within ambiguity, defining processes and delivering results.

What We're Looking For

1. Extensive experience and impact in product design, with a strong portfolio.
2. Experience designing for AI technologies.
3. Passion for high-fidelity prototypes and interaction design.
4. Proven leadership in 0-1 initiatives or early-stage products.
5. Deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
6. Strong research methodologies and translation into design.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
9. Proficiency with Figma, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite.
10. Familiarity with front-end concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
11. Location in Eastern or Central Time Zone of the U.S.
