Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Principal Engineer in the Process Technology group at the Glenview, IL location. You will own the technical delivery of complex processing initiatives, from concept through commercialization, partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure Right-First-Time solutions.

You will drive scale-up, pilot runs, and detailed technical documentation while upholding regulatory and safety standards. Travel up to 25% and a performance-based bonus are included.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years in R&D or Engineering in consumer goods, food & beverage, pharma, or similar industry.
• Hands-on experience with pilot trials and scale-up to industrial production.
• Strong knowledge of processing commercialization tools (CQV, FMEA, CPRA).

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize emerging processing technologies aligned to business needs.
• Develop scale-up strategies from prototyping to pilot plant and commercialization.
• Deliver end-to-end technical execution across complex processing projects.
• Create and maintain technical docs: MPS, Transformation Flowsheets, Process Design Scopes, FMEAs, CQV.
• Lead pilot line trials and support scale-up activities for robust commercial solutions.
• Present technical content to governance and cross-functional teams.
