Job summary

Wood Mackenzie is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead the Power Market Modelling & Analysis team in the Americas. You will drive the management and delivery of complex consulting engagements, shape opportunities, run PCM analyses with tools like PLEXOS/AURORA/PROMOD, and collaborate with clients to deliver actionable insights.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate cross‑functional workstreams, and contribute to business development across North American power markets.

Qualifications

Direct experience within the power & renewables industry or a related consulting environment with project management experience.
7+ years of direct working experience in power/renewables consulting or equivalent.
Undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, economics or finance; MBA/MS/PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage power market modelling engagements from start to finish.
Lead and coach project teams; ensure deliverables are on time and within scope.
Develop dashboards, reports and client-ready materials with clear storytelling.
Support business development and client relationship management across North America.
Contribute to thought leadership and tool development for North American markets.
