Job summary

Wood Mackenzie, a global leader in energy analytics, seeks a Managing Consultant for the Power Market Modelling & Analysis team in the Americas. You will lead delivery of commercial and strategic consulting projects, run production cost models, and develop North American power market analytics with strong client interaction.

The role combines modelling execution with clear, well-documented deliverables, coaching of junior staff, and direct client exposure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in power/renewables consulting.
• Hands-on PCM experience with listed models.
• Strong deliverable preparation and client-ready outputs.
• Exposure to nodal price forecasting and market constructs.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience supervising junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage project workstreams against scope, timeline and budget.
• Support business development across North American power markets.
• Contribute to thought leadership with data, research, and webinars.
• Build dashboards, tables, and charts from model results for clients.
• Coach Consultants and Senior Consultants on modeling and deliverables.
• Maintain high-quality deliverables and client relationships.
• Identify follow-up opportunities and escalate with senior team.
