Job summary

ClickHouse Cloud, the fully managed version of the open source ClickHouse database, is hiring a Principal Product Manager for Billing and Marketplaces. You will own the multi-year vision for billing, metering, invoicing, and revenue recognition across AWS, GCP, and Azure marketplaces.

You will drive a unified metrics pipeline, manage prepaid commitments, and lead architecture decisions while collaborating with Finance, Data, and Sales Ops to ensure accurate revenue and tax reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management, incl. 5+ years owning billing, metering, payments, or commercial platforms for cloud/usage-based products.
• Deep expertise in usage-based pricing, prepaid credits, and committed spend contracts for invoicing and revenue.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure marketplaces, incl. private offers and metering APIs.
• Familiarity with payments across card, invoice, marketplace, and partner channels, incl. dunning and fraud detection.
• Strong understanding of order-to-cash, invoicing, payment processing, tax, ERP integration, and revenue recognition.
• Experience with third-party billing and payment platforms, such as Stripe.
• Track record designing and maturing a product area from v1 and leading complex programs across engineering, Finance, and go-to-market teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting trade-offs to executives and explaining billing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for billing, from usage metering through invoicing, payments, and revenue recognition.
• Evolve metering and pricing foundations into a reusable metrics pipeline across products and tiers.
• Evolve prepaid commit capabilities with customer-specific rate cards and balance visibility.
• Own cloud marketplace strategy and integrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including private offers and usage reporting.
• Lead the evaluation of billing architecture from build vs. buy decisions to migration plans.
• Provide Finance, Data, and Sales Ops with trusted systems including ERP and revenue recognition sync.
• Partner with product, marketing, sales, and support to launch billing for new products and pricing models.
• Mentor other product managers and help build the team.
