Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Principal Product Manager - Technical for the Aurora team in East Palo Alto. You will shape the enterprise roadmap for a MySQL/PostgreSQL-compatible cloud database engine and lead cross-functional teams from strategy through launch.

Responsibilities include defining user experiences, GTM plans, and enabling sales, service, and partners. Strong emphasis on customer insight, market research, and delivering scalable cloud services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
• 5+ years of technical experience (software development, network development, IT, or related).
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS/PaaS/LaaS products with end-to-end lifecycle ownership.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Define seamless user experiences across Aurora—improving getting-started, query execution, and generative-AI experiences.
• Create product strategy for new services and launch vision, roadmap, and go-to-market plans for enterprise customers.
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute the full product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution.
• Craft detailed product requirement documents with deep understanding of market segments and customers.
• Enable sales, service, and partner teams with enablement tools and go-to-market plans.
• Drive sales via business development, customer calls, and creation of support tools.
• Track metrics and establish goals to identify opportunities for success.
• Research and identify new innovation opportunities on behalf of AWS customers.
