Job summary

insightsoftware seeks a Principal Software Engineer for the Platform Services team to own reliability, observability, and modernization across its Certent Equity Management platform. You will write high‑quality C#/.NET code, drive architectural decisions, and push cloud-native patterns on Azure, influencing both immediate stability and long‑term strategic direction.

You will mentor teams, define standards for resilience, and collaborate with the Scalable Architecture Team to shape future design

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in enterprise SaaS environments.
• Deep expertise in C# and .NET across framework generations.
• Hands-on Azure cloud architecture experience and evaluating cloud-native services.
• Strong Oracle Database proficiency, complex SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience designing observability at scale — logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Demonstrated AI-first engineering mindset with tooling adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform reliability and observability across a broad portfolio of services.
• Define SLO/SLI and expand alerting with APM metrics, latency, and throughput.
• Identify and eliminate reliability anti-patterns and implement resilience patterns.
• Drive modernization by sequencing cloud-native Azure services and patterns.
• Own shared library ecosystems and enforce engineering standards.
