Job summary

HP Inc. seeks a Distinguished Technologist - Principal Architect to lead hardware-rooted security for HP’s commercial PC platform.

You will define architecture across hardware, firmware, software and cloud integrations, collaborating with Security Research Labs, BIOS teams and product management to deliver secure, scalable solutions. The role requires deep BIOS/UEFI expertise, attestation, cryptographic identity, and secure configuration management.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or CS with system architecture experience.
• Extensive PC/embedded/firmware architecture knowledge required.
• Deep understanding of BIOS/UEFI, secure boot, attestation, and cryptographic signing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal architect for HP Endpoint Security Controller roadmap and firmware capabilities.
• Define and evolve HP Sure Start architecture and firmware resilience.
• Lead cross-functional architecture definition across hardware, BIOS, embedded firmware, cloud services, and manageability tools.
• Mentor engineers and drive practical tradeoffs among security, cost, and schedule.
• Support customer briefings and executive communications related to platform security.
