Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Software/Firmware Engineer to join the product security team. The role focuses on firmware development, secure boot technologies, hardware root of trust security, and cryptographic key management.

Strong background in embedded systems and C/C++ is required, with TPM/TCG experience preferred. This hybrid position requires 2–3 days onsite weekly due to security environment constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in software, firmware, or embedded systems development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded system debugging.
• Experience with TPM technologies and cryptographic algorithms.
• Experience with security-focused firmware architectures and hardware root of trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and integration of complex firmware and security solutions.
• Architect secure firmware features across embedded and platform environments.
• Drive technical direction and provide leadership for cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Review system designs, code, and validation strategies for security and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver secure platform solutions; evaluate new security tech.
