Job summary

Hydrolix in Portland, OR or remote (US & EU time zones) seeks a Principal Product Manager for Platform. You will partner with engineering and product leadership to translate business priorities into a coherent platform roadmap and render platform capabilities in terms the company can sell, support, and build on.

You will balance technical depth with organizational clarity, driving reliability, scalability, and AI-ready workflows while shaping the SDLC to keep Sales Engineering and Customer

Qualifications

• Extensive product management experience in data/analytics platforms or cloud data tooling.
• Technical depth to credibly discuss distributed systems and data infrastructure.
• Ability to create legible narratives linking platform investments to business outcomes.
• Experience in Enterprise SaaS or cloud data firms.
• Experience establishing operational discipline across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the core platform roadmap focusing on reliability, scalability, and operator experience for customers and partners.
• Drive platform decisions to speed key customer journeys and architect future platform options.
• Invest in agentic readiness and AI workflows while supporting customer-facing AI capabilities.
• Implement and iterate a cross-functional SDLC to keep Sales Engineering and Customer Success aligned.
• Make platform work legible to the business by writing narratives that tie investments to outcomes and metrics.
• Define sequencing decisions with engineering leadership to enable future product options.
• Define and track platform metrics such as onboarding time, escalation rates, incidents, and time-to-value.
