Job summary

UCLA Health seeks a Pediatric Echocardiographic Technician to perform 2-D, M-mode, Doppler, stress and fetal echocardiography, and assist with TEE procedures under supervision of the Cardiac Imaging leaders. You will notify physicians of urgent results and prepare preliminary reports while maintaining records and charge capture.

The role requires ARDMS certification within 6 months, ARDMS/PD expertise in pediatric echo, and BCLS certification. On-call duties and patient safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire or equivalent credentials.
• Graduate of a cardiac echocardiography program; ARDMS certification rules apply.
• BCLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2-D, M-mode, Doppler, stress, and fetal echocardiography studies and assist with transesophageal echo procedures.
• Notify physicians of urgent results and prepare preliminary reports.
• Maintain records and ensure accurate charge capture for echo studies; assist with patient care tasks and be available for on-call duty.

Education

ARDMS certification or attainment within 6 months of hire

Graduate of cardiac echocardiography program

BCLS certification (AHA/ARC)
