FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, California seeks a Principal PCB Designer to provide expert design and development of complex PCBs and package substrates for cutting-edge semiconductor test solutions.

You will lead high-speed, RF, analog and mixed-signal PCB efforts, establish design standards, and mentor a global team, while collaborating across engineering disciplines to accelerate product development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing complex multilayer PCBs and package substrates for product development.
• Proven leadership on large or technically complex PCB design projects.
• Strong knowledge of Cadence tools and high-speed signal integrity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex PCB design efforts from concept through release, ensuring quality, schedule and performance.
• Design and route highly complex, high-speed, multilayer PCBs and package substrates with impedance control and signal integrity considerations.
• Develop layouts aligning with standards, manufacturability, and product requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines and global sites.
• Define design constraints, maintain libraries, and establish layout guidelines and workflows.
• Mentor junior designers and drive process improvements to reduce cycle time and defects.
