Job summary

Antares is seeking a highly experienced technical leader to drive payload development for space-domain missions. You will guide projects from concept through end-of-life, developing models to predict payload performance and coordinating with customers and stakeholders throughout the mission lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has deep engineering and physics fundamentals, with a track record in leading cross-disciplinary teams and navigating government-sponsored R&D programs.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 10+ years of technical experience, 5+ years of leadership on a project or research team.
• Experience with DOD/DOE/Intelligence Community procurement processes.
• Knowledge of space operations and payload concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of technical product development associated with Antares payloads, from ideation to prototyping.
• Regularly build simulation tools and models to develop payload concepts.
• Ideate and propose new development programs to DOW, NASA, IC and DOE funding sources.
• Perform market research on possible use cases and operational concepts for future payload systems.
• Build robust processes around licensing technologies from USG and National Laboratory ecosystems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure end-to-end mission success and craft deliverables for customer programs.
• Plan and drive internal and external reviews to ensure alignment between Antares engineering teams and external stakeholders.
