Job summary

The Washington Post in Washington, DC is seeking a strategic Partnerships Analyst to transform partnership performance data into actionable insights. You will build KPI frameworks, dashboards, and executive materials that influence investment decisions and revenue growth.

This role collaborates with Platform Partnerships, Business Development, Finance, Legal, Data, and Technology to drive cross-functional impact and scalable analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics, Communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business development, partnerships, account management, or related commercial function.
  • Ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into strategic recommendations that influence business decisions.
  • Experience developing KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, or performance management systems.
  • Understanding of digital media, platform ecosystems, subscriptions, advertising, and AI in publishing.

equivalent experience may be considered.4+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business development, partnerships, account management, corporate strategy, digital media, or a related commercial function.Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into strategic recommendations that influence business decisions and improve commercial performance.Experience developing KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, business reviews, or performance management systems.Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience evaluating business performance, commercial opportunities, and strategic trade-offs.Understanding of the digital media, technology, platform, creator, subscription, advertising, and AI ecosystems and the commercial forces shaping the publishing industry.Experience evaluating partnership opportunities using financial, operational, strategic, and audience considerations.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, build alignment, and drive execution without direct authority.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex analyses and recommendations to executive audiences and external partners.High degree of ownership, adaptability, sound judgment, and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools (such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar) is preferred.Experience with financial modeling, SQL, or analytical tools is preferred.Experience working with platform partnerships, licensing, subscriptions, AI partnerships, social distribution, or emerging media business models is preferred.Collaboration makes us stronger.
