Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience.
• Job-related experience, 8 years.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience (desired).
• Familiarity with utility operations (desired).
• Hands-on experience developing production data solutions using Snowflake (desired).
• Advanced experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases (desired).
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines and data integration solutions (desired).
• Experience with Snowflake data architecture, data modeling, performance optimization, and data transformation (desired).
• Experience migrating data, SQL workloads, or ETL processes from legacy or on-premises platforms to Snowflake (desired).
• Experience with SQL Server and database development, including stored procedures and complex SQL transformations (desired).
• Experience with Python and Python libraries such as Pandas (desired).
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate (desired).
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel (desired).
• Experience with data quality, reconciliation, validation, and troubleshooting across multiple data sources (desired).
• Strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills. Advanced communication and presentation skills to deliver highly complex data and findings to Sr. Management (desired).
• Expertise in project management to lead large, cross-functional projects and develop concise data findings for Sr. Management (desired).

Responsibilities

• Manages very complex data engineering and data analysis projects with very limited supervision from initial request through implementation and delivery, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on-time.
• Acts as a thought leader applying extensive data engineering, data processing, and data analysis expertise in the development of strategy or resolution to complex data issues.
• Creates very complex automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery, ensuring accurate data manipulation, transformation, and data cleansing.
• Designs, develops, and maintains scalable data pipelines and data structures using Snowflake, SQL, and related data integration technologies.
• Manages major and complex cross-functional data projects that have broad company implications.
• Manages extracting, transforming, and transferring data from databases and other source systems to support operational analysis and reporting efforts.
• Develops complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data transformations, and data models to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Supports modernization and migration of existing data processes and legacy ETL workflows to Snowflake and modern data engineering solutions.
• Develops comprehensive reports and analysis for long-term, company-wide issues. Presents/communicates clear, concise and actionable data analyses for clients.
• Acts as team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees.
• May work with Senior Management to develop business-related strategy, leveraging data in decision making.
