Job Description

We are seeking an MS subject matter expert within Analytical Development to join our team. The role involves performing method development, feasibility, qualification, and validation of methods supporting biopharmaceutical products primarily using Mass Spectrometry. The candidate will identify unknown compounds, develop validation plans, troubleshoot instrumentation issues, and generate accurate documentation. Responsibilities include authoring reports, delivering training presentations, guiding junior scientists, and contributing to laboratory setup and process establishment for oligonucleotide testing.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Method development and validation for biopharmaceuticals using MS
2. Identification of unknown compounds with minimal support
3. Troubleshooting instrumentation and method issues
4. Documentation and reporting
5. Training and mentoring team members
6. Supporting laboratory setup for oligonucleotide testing
7. Development and validation of QC methods for oligonucleotides
8. Instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
9. Implementing innovative analytical techniques
10. Advising clients on analytical strategies
11. Handling customer queries and problem-solving

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• B.S. / M.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with GC/MS, LC/MS, HRMS
• Experience in identifying unknown materials
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions
• Extensive knowledge of oligonucleotide-based drugs (ASO, siRNA, mRNA)
• Expertise in chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques
• Experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC and MS instruments
• Knowledge of various HPLC separations (IEX, RP, SEC)
• QC experience with oligonucleotides

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Candidates residing near Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
