Job summary

GCX is seeking a Principal Engineer, OEM Products, to lead end-to-end development of mounting solutions for medical instrumentation and IT systems. You will analyze proposals, define requirements, and guide cross-functional teams through design, testing, and documentation to meet customer needs.

The role requires extensive experience in product development, FEA, and collaboration with marketing, sales, and customers to deliver timely, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of product development and design transfer experience.
• Strong project management skills enabling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Creo, SolidWorks, Windchill PDM.
• Familiarity with healthcare design standards (ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop OEM product designs and engineering solutions.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers on large OEM projects.
• Perform static and dynamic FEA simulations at assembly, sub-systems, and component levels.
• Develop test protocols and engineering documentation for new products.
• Engage with marketing, sales, and customers to define requirements and proposals.
