About the role:

As a Principal Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for performing, verifying, and directing others to generate design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, particularly for Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA).

You will report to the Engineering Manager of Loss Of Coolant Accident Safety Analysis and be located at our Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid, involving a mix of on-site and remote work within the same week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development and assessment of models and correlations for predicting two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena.
2. Utilization of statistical techniques for realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis.
3. Evaluation of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis.
4. Contributing to the development of new analysis methodologies for design basis accidents.
5. Understanding plant-specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting.
6. Serving as the point of contact for plant-specific LOCA inquiries from internal and external customers.
7. Leading project teams, contributing to project schedules and cost estimates.
8. Mentoring and developing newer engineers.
9. Identifying and suggesting process improvements.

Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of relevant experience.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical).
3. Knowledge of nuclear reactors.
4. Interest in software programming and code development is a plus but not required.
