Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Principal Security Software Engineer to shape and implement our network security strategy across our global infrastructure. You will work with InfoSec and infrastructure teams to secure networks, services, and platforms at scale.

You should have 8+ years of relevant experience, strong Go or C++ skills, and hands-on experience building production-grade network security solutions, including knowledge of TCP/UDP/DNS and packet processing technologies such as DPDK or eBPF.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in security software or networking.
• Proficiency in high-performance distributed services in Go or C++.
• Hands-on design and building production systems for networks and security.
• Deep understanding of network routings and protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience with packet processing frameworks like DPDK or eBPF is a plus.

• Identify vulnerabilities and gaps in network infrastructure and drive fixes.
• Design and optimize solutions to protect Roblox networks and services.
