Job summary

GDIT is seeking an experienced Network Engineer in Hawaii to support the US BICES-X program, assisting in designing and upgrading secure networks for mission-critical operations. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure high-availability systems across dispersed teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of network experience, CCNA, and TS/SCI clearance, with strong routing/switching and Cisco IOS expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related network experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree– may substitute additional years of experience
• Must be IAT level II compliant with DoW 8140
• ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire
• Must possess a complete CCNA certification.
• Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work
• Highly organized with strong ability to prioritize work and work autonomously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great attention to detail and presentation

• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
• Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
• Knowledge of Data Center and Virtualization.
• Knowledge of Automation techniques and structure.
• Participates in special projects as assigned.

• Knowledge and experience with VoIP/collaboration systems i.e. Cisco, CUCM etc
• Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices
• Knowledge of Virtualization technologies
• Knowledge and experience with data center networking

• Understanding of concepts presented in the VMware Data Center Virtualization Fundamentals course

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $145,475. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
