Job summary

Google’s XR team in San Jose seeks a Principal Multimodal LLM Research Scientist to lead research defining the future of spatial intelligence. You will direct a team to push deep learning, pre-training, and multimodal understanding applied to Google’s XR products.

You will publish in NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, and translate breakthroughs into scalable strategies for Android XR, mentoring scientists and engineers along the way.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in deep learning research with multimodal or language models.
• Experience leading research teams and delivering innovations.
• Experience with modern deep learning frameworks and distributed training on clusters.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $307000 - $427000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits
