Job summary

iFIT is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead recommendation and search personalization efforts from data pipelines to production serving. This remote US role requires mentoring engineers and collaborating across Product, Engineering, Data and Security to deliver measurable product outcomes.

You will own end-to-end ML systems, drive relevance through rigorous experiments, and advance a privacy-first architecture while scaling across the platform.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building recommendation and/or search systems that operate in production at scale.
• Strong ML engineering fundamentals including ranking and retrieval concepts, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and practical deployment considerations.
• Proven ability to connect model improvements to measurable user and product outcomes through structured experimentation.
• Strong software engineering skills including building reliable pipelines and services, writing maintainable code, and debugging complex distributed systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Product and Engineering partners, explain trade-offs, and align cross‑functional teams on direction.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for recommendations and search personalization across product surfaces, choosing priorities and experiments
• Build ranking, retrieval and personalization systems from data pipelines and features through model training and production serving
• Test relevance changes, read the results and refine models as content, user behavior and product surfaces change
• Work with Product and Engineering to connect model behavior to product results and keep deployed systems reliable
• Partner with Data and Security on personalization designs that meet privacy, data-access and operational needs
