Job summary

Emerson T&M (NI) seeks a Mixed Signal Validation System Architect to drive the technical vision for validation and characterization lab testing. You will guide architectural requirements and collaborate across engineering teams to shape product directions.

The role requires deep NI hardware and software capability (LabVIEW, Python, C#, Instrument Studio, TestStand) and strong communication to customers and management. Expect a leadership role with broad influence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience developing, automating or architecting test systems in a verification or validation laboratory.
• Strong documentation, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Expert in many Mixed Signal products from NI, including the achievable capabilities when bringing products together to create a system.

Responsibilities

• Deep working knowledge of NI modular instruments and their implications on system architecture to influence NI roadmap decisions.
• Strong understanding of NI’s PXI modular hardware and product families like PXIe-41xx, PXIe-51xx, PXIe-657x for lab validation environments.
• Hands-on experience with LabVIEW, Python, C#, Instrument Studio, TestStand and NI drivers enabling scalable automated test systems.
• Advise business and R&D on technical trade-off decisions and collaborate with Business Managers on details.
• Lead customer discussions on future system needs, trends, and technical exchanges guiding NI’s roadmap.
• Assess initial technical feasibility to ensure practicality of strategies.
• Perform system consulting for customer opportunities across contexts.
• Familiar with digital standards like MIPI, I2C, SWI3S; experience with DUT communication and protocol validation.
