Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing Operations Engineering Team in Baltimore/Elkridge, MD seeks a Principal Microelectronics Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer 3 to join our team for a 1st shift. The role focuses on designing and refining manufacturing processes to ensure smooth and efficient operation in a highly automated SMT environment.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement processes, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate across engineering disciplines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or related STEM and 5+ years experience; or Master's with 3+ years.
• PhD in mechanical engineering requires no minimum experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement SMT routing and manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing processes for process control and yield.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
• Support operators and technicians with troubleshooting and training.
• Monitor yields and report on program yield targets.
• Interface with management, engineers, system engineers, and program teams.
