Job summary

Flowserve is a world-leading manufacturer and provider of comprehensive flow control systems. The Principal Mechatronics Engineer will join the Innovation team, based in Budapest, to quickly bring new products to market and guide mechatronics development across multiple regions.

The role emphasizes systems architecture, firmware, signal processing and cybersecurity, with travel up to 20% to the US, Germany and the Netherlands, and collaboration with product management and engineering teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in technology development and innovation.
Excellent systems-level understanding across electronics, mechanics, physics, and user interfaces.
Proven track record developing and commercializing new products or solutions with differentiating technologies.
Experience in research and innovation; familiarity with design-thinking methods.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on complex projects involving mechatronics and digital solutions.
Lead concept development projects from ideation to buy/build/partner decisions.
Collaborate with engineers to develop proofs of concept and value demonstrations.
Coordinate and develop global mechatronics platform architectures for a unified technology platform.
Drive development of digital solutions and modern drive technologies for pump systems and actuators.
