Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer responsible for detailed structural analysis supporting development and production phases. The role involves solving complex problems using classical and finite element analysis methods, leading teams, and defining technical scopes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform detailed structural analyses for all program phases.
2. Develop test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance.
3. Analyze test data to validate models and generate mechanical loads.
4. Work independently on complex issues within schedule and budget constraints.
5. Lead peer reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
6. Generate technical reports and travel to test sites as needed.
7. Act as a technical leader, developing departmental processes and tools.

Qualifications

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with at least 8 years of relevant experience (or 12+ years without degree).
• Experience with structural analysis tools (PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS, or equivalent).

Preferred

• Extensive experience in complex structural analysis, leadership, and team collaboration.
• 10+ years in structural analysis of complex systems, including testing and dynamic analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD (CREO or similar), Matlab, and experience in customer presentations.
• Ability to travel for program support.

Benefits and Compensation

Salary range: $101,000 - $203,000, plus benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and incentive programs.
