Mainspring is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to act as a company-level technical authority for the Linear Generator platform. You will shape long-term technical direction, influence architecture, and guide high-consequence decisions with autonomy and senior leadership exposure.

The role demands broad technical leadership across teams, with a focus on long-term leverage, risk management, and durable engineering standards that scale across product generations.

Qualifications

• Shaped technical direction across major systems and organizations.
• Ability to balance product capability, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
• Proven track record solving novel, ambiguous cross-functional problems.
• Deep experience using analysis, testing, modeling and field data.
• Strong executive-level communication to align stakeholders.
