Job summary

Crosslinked seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to set the technical direction for new injection-molded products, lead a small team, and own each product from concept through production launch. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years in mechanical design and a strong background in DFM/DFM for molding.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with mold makers and suppliers, and drive design quality across programs while working on-site in Mount Laurel, NJ with approx.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience, with leadership experience.
• Injection-molded part design, tooling considerations, and DFM/DFA.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering direction and technical strategy for injection-m molded products.
• Review CAD models, drawings, and requirements for DFM and tooling approach.
• Own development from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT and production launch.
• Mentor a small team of engineers and designers to improve design output.
• Collaborate with mold makers, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to optimize designs and tooling.
• Run tooling DFM reviews covering gate/runner, parting lines, venting, ejection, and mold flow.
• Lead tooling launch, sampling, validation, and production release on the floor.
• Improve design processes and standards across the engineering organization.
