Job summary

Plastic Molding Technology seeks a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead injection molding across its Centennial, CO sites. This on-site role demands deep engineering leadership, standards setting, and collaboration with leadership on capital initiatives.

You will specify equipment, guide mold builders, and drive process strategies for new programs while maintaining industry best practices and scalable molding operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with strong plastics manufacturing focus.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in an injection molding environment with expertise in process or tooling engineering.
• Experience specifying injection molding equipment, auxiliary systems, and tooling; evaluating vendor proposals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal technical authority for injection molding across all company facilities.
• Define and evolve enterprise-wide standards, best practices, and procedures for injection molding execution.
• Provide expert guidance to leadership and engineering teams on complex technical decisions.
• Lead the technical evaluation, quoting, and kickoff of new injection molding tools for performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with mold builders during tool design, review, and launch phases.
• Support capital projects with technical justification and vendor engagement.
