Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Independence, MO is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Armament Systems team. You will provide engineering guidance for manufacturing, support transition-to-production of new products, and help resolve complex production issues.

As a core member of an integrated product team, you will coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Test, maintain critical documentation, and support reviews and changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8+ years in design/manufacturing.
• MS Office skills and strong communication.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and travel up to 25%.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical interface to internal and external customers and form working relationships.
• Support the Program Manager as a control account manager for schedule and cost tracking.
• Provide engineering support and work direction to manufacturing and test locations.
• Coordinate manufacturing efforts between Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing and Test.
• Maintain documentation for new and existing manufacturing programs.
