Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to oversee the engineering development of commercial water chilling systems. You will lead cross-functional teams to bring high-performing hardware from concept to production, applying thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigerant system analysis.

The role requires 10+ years of HVAC product design (or 8+ with a Master’s) and 4+ years in new product development.

Qualifications

• HVAC product design experience required.
• 4+ years of new product development or sustaining engineering experience.
• Thermodynamics and chiller design knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Thermodynamic modeling and optimization of chiller system design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch designs into production.
• Develop chiller system architecture meeting development requirements.
• Verify product design performance and reliability in test labs.
• Prepare materials and present to senior leadership on regular basis.
• Analyze test results against specifications and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with design, safety and qualification standards.
• Promote commonality and optimization of products and components.
