Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Mechanical Engineer Principal for NAWCAD-WOLF to advance C5ISR systems aboard US Naval vessels. You will lead design, integration, and testing efforts, guiding cross‑functional teams and ensuring installation accuracy per SID and drawings.

The role requires a Master’s in Engineering, 8+ years of related experience (5+ in C5ISR design/interoperability) and ability to obtain Secret clearance; on-site in CA/MD with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• As a Mechanical Engineer Principal you must have eight plus years of related engineering experience.
• At least five of those years involve design, implementation, integration, systems testing and interoperability studies for C5ISR.
• At least three years reading, interpreting blueprints, drawings, schematics and SID.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support engineering direction for design, development, integration and interface analysis.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure interoperability and mission readiness for C5ISR systems.
• Plan and execute rigorous systems testing and resolve integration challenges in complex environments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and SID to ensure compliant installation.
